The new ES 350h continues Lexus India's local manufacturing strategy for the model. The previous-generation ES 300h was also produced in India and became an important model for the brand in the country. With the eighth-generation car, Lexus is continuing that approach while introducing a substantially redesigned product.
A New Generation of the Lexus ES
The latest ES is the eighth generation of the nameplate and represents a major change in both design and technology. Lexus has positioned the new model as part of its next wave of electrified vehicles, with the broader ES range supporting both hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
The ES 350h is built around a new design direction for Lexus, giving the sedan a cleaner and more futuristic appearance. The car is also larger than the model it replaces, with changes to its wheelbase, width and overall height contributing to a roomier cabin and a stronger visual presence.
More Space and a New Exterior Design
The all-new ES 350h receives redesigned proportions that give it a more substantial road presence while also improving interior space. The larger dimensions are intended to enhance comfort for both front and rear passengers, particularly on longer journeys.
The exterior introduces a new interpretation of Lexus styling, including distinctive L-shaped lighting signatures and a redesigned rear section. The design also integrates new convenience and safety technologies, including electronic door latch releases with Safe Exit Assist.
Lexus will offer the new ES 350h in six premium exterior colours. These include White Nova, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Chrome and Graphite Black, alongside the new SOU and Sonic Copper colour options.
A More Advanced and Digital Interior
Inside, the new ES 350h adopts Lexus' Tazuna cockpit concept, which places key information and controls closer to the driver's natural field of view. The objective is to create a more intuitive driving environment while reducing unnecessary distraction.
The centrepiece of the dashboard is a new 14-inch high-definition touchscreen running the latest Lexus multimedia interface. A fully digital instrument display is also part of the new cabin, providing drivers with important vehicle information in a clearer and more configurable format.
The interior has also been designed with a greater emphasis on visual simplicity and ease of use. Lexus has introduced new control solutions, including Responsive Hidden Switches, which integrate selected functions into the dashboard while maintaining a cleaner overall appearance.
New 2.5-Litre Self-Charging Hybrid System
Powering the ES 350h is a newly developed hybrid system centred around a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The setup also includes a new eAxle, an integrated power control unit and a lithium-ion battery.
Lexus has focused on improving the balance between performance, efficiency and refinement. The updated hybrid technology is designed to provide stronger and smoother responses while maintaining the quiet operation and fuel efficiency that have traditionally been key strengths of the ES hybrid range.
The new lithium-ion battery has also been developed to provide strong output while maintaining a more compact and lightweight design.
Improved Ride Comfort and Driving Refinement
Ride quality and cabin quietness remain central to the ES experience, and Lexus says the new generation brings further improvements in both areas. The new model has been developed to provide greater stability, improved comfort and a more relaxed driving experience over long distances.
The spacious cabin is designed around the idea of delivering a comfortable experience for every passenger, rather than focusing solely on the driver. This continues to be one of the ES's defining characteristics within the executive luxury sedan segment.
Latest Lexus Safety System+
The all-new ES 350h comes equipped with the latest version of Lexus Safety System+, a comprehensive package of driver assistance and active safety technologies.
Key features include an enhanced Pre-Collision System, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist. The Luxury variant also adds Drive Monitor technology.
These systems are designed to assist the driver in everyday situations by improving awareness and providing additional support during selected driving scenarios.
Connected Features for Greater Convenience
The new ES 350h also offers an expanded suite of connected functions through the Lexus Connected application. Owners can check selected vehicle information, including fuel levels and estimated driving range, directly through their connected device.
Remote functions include engine start, door locking, window operation and selected climate-control settings. Depending on the function, owners can also prepare the cabin before beginning their journey.
Smartphone and smartwatch integration, live vehicle tracking and an emergency assistance function are also part of the connected technology package, adding another layer of convenience and security to the ownership experience.
Warranty and Ownership Benefits
Lexus India is offering the ES 350h with an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty covering the vehicle and hybrid battery, subject to applicable terms and conditions. Owners also receive a five-year roadside assistance package.
The roadside assistance programme includes support such as towing and selected travel-related assistance services. Lexus also offers its Luxury Care service packages, with coverage options ranging from three years or 40,000 km up to eight years or 160,000 km.
Customers looking for flexible ownership options can also access the Lexus Assured Buy Back programme, which includes financing structures with low EMIs and a guaranteed future residual value, subject to programme terms.
Bookings Now Open in India
Customers can now book the all-new Lexus ES 350h through Lexus Guest Experience Centres across India. The new hybrid sedan strengthens the ES lineup by offering an alternative to the recently launched all-electric ES 500e, giving buyers a choice between two different electrified powertrain technologies.
With local manufacturing, a new-generation hybrid system, significantly updated technology and a more spacious cabin, the all-new Lexus ES 350h marks one of the biggest updates for the nameplate since its introduction in India.
