MINI Convertible Stardust Edition Launched in India at ₹62.90 Lakh

MINI India has launched the new MINI Convertible Stardust Edition in India, introducing a more exclusive version of its open-top model for the Indian market. The limited edition is priced at ₹62.90 lakh, ex-showroom, and will be brought to India as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit.

The MINI Convertible Stardust Edition can be booked exclusively through the MINI India website, with deliveries set to begin immediately. The special edition focuses on distinctive styling, premium equipment and the open-air driving experience that defines the MINI Convertible.

Exclusive Stardust Edition Design

The Stardust Edition receives an exclusive Sparkling Copper Grey metallic exterior finish, giving the convertible a distinctive appearance. MINI has paired this colour with Vibrant Silver mirror caps and 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke alloy wheels, also finished in Vibrant Silver.

At the front, the convertible retains MINI's signature round headlights and now features a redesigned grille. The LED headlights offer multiple lighting signatures, while welcome and goodbye animations with MINI logo projections add an extra visual element when approaching or leaving the car.

The rear continues with vertically positioned LED tail-lamps and a clean, wide-looking design. A black horizontal trim element across the rear section further emphasises the car's stance.

Union Jack Soft Top Opens in 18 Seconds

One of the standout features of the MINI Convertible Stardust Edition is its MINI Yours black fabric roof with a woven Union Jack design. The electrically operated soft top can be fully opened in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30 km/h and can close in approximately 15 seconds.

The roof can also be partially opened, functioning like a large sunroof. When fully opened, the boot offers 160 litres of luggage space, while closing the roof increases capacity to 215 litres.

Digital and Premium Cabin

Inside, the Stardust Edition combines MINI's minimalist design philosophy with the latest generation of digital technology. The centrepiece of the dashboard is the circular high-resolution OLED display, known as the MINI Interaction Unit, which integrates key vehicle information and infotainment functions.

The car runs on MINI Operating System 9 and supports the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant. Drivers can use voice commands to access selected functions, while features such as the MINI Digital Key Plus allow a compatible smartphone to function as the vehicle key.

Other technology highlights include a Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote services, remote software updates and an intelligent emergency call function.

MINI Experience Modes and Premium Features

The Convertible Stardust Edition offers multiple MINI Experience Modes that can adjust the cabin's lighting, sound and visual graphics to create different driving environments. Drivers can select modes such as Go-Kart, Green and Vivid, among others.

A distinctive Toggle Bar provides direct access to important vehicle functions, including the start/stop control, gear selector, parking brake, experience modes and volume adjustment. A storage area beneath the controls also accommodates a smartphone with wireless charging.

The cabin features electrically adjustable sports seats finished in Black Vescin upholstery. The driver's seat also includes an Active Seat function for additional comfort.

204 hp Turbo-Petrol Engine

Powering the MINI Convertible Stardust Edition is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine produces 150 kW, equivalent to 204 hp, and develops a peak torque of 300 Nm.

The convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. Power is delivered through a 7-speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport transmission, designed to offer both comfortable everyday driving and quicker responses when driven enthusiastically.

Safety and Driver Assistance

MINI has equipped the Stardust Edition with driver assistance and convenience technologies including Cruise Control, Parking Assistant and Comfort Access. The latter can automatically lock or unlock the vehicle when the key is detected within close proximity.

Standard safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control, a rear-view camera, a tyre pressure indicator and a crash sensor.

Warranty and Ownership Benefits

The MINI Convertible Stardust Edition comes with a standard two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and two years of 24x7 roadside assistance. MINI also offers service-inclusive packages starting from three years or 40,000 km, with extension options available for longer ownership periods.

Additional warranty and service extensions are available, allowing customers to choose coverage based on their expected ownership duration and driving requirements.
